Valentin Yudashkin, a member of the French Federation of Haute Couture and Ready-to-Wear, founded in 1989, is the most renowned Russian internationally established fashion brand, best known for unique and exquisite Haute Couture, evening wear, red carpet and bridal collections with pieces from various collections exhibited at the Louvre, the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, the California Museum of Fashion, the State Historical Museum in Moscow and the International Museum of Olympic Games. The brand has presented its collections at the Paris Fashion Week for over 20 years, has also participated in the Milan and New York Fashion Weeks and is the founding member of the High Fashion and Ready-to-Wear Association of Russia having played a leading role in the creation of Moscow Fashion Week.
The Founder and the Creative Director
VALENTIN YUDASHKIN – The Founder (1963 – 2023)
Valentin Yudashkin graduated from the Moscow Industrial Secondary School with degrees in both history of traditional costumes and decorative cosmetics and went on to create designs influenced by his early years working in theaters, producing elaborate evening wear, and dramatic couture pieces. In the 1990s, after the break-up of the Soviet Union, he became a Russian icon as he reached international acclaim with the Faberge collection show in 1991 in Paris, which received acclaim from all over the world and was applauded by the best fashion critics for the display of incredible craftsmanship. The brand always made headlines by styling and creating pieces for internationally acclaimed music artists, heads of state and first-ladies, Haute Couture collectors, the Russian National Olympic team, the Aeroflot Russian National Carrier, theatre, and many more.
Valentin Yudashkin was awarded the title of the Honored Artist of the Russian Federation, the title of the Cavalier of the Arts and Literature Order of the French Republic (2007) and became a member of the Honorary Order for Contributors to Russian Arts (2008).
GALA YUDASHKIN – The Creative Director
Following the passing of Mr. Yudashkin, the late founder and creative director of the brand in May 2023, his daughter Gala Yudashkin, a Parsons School of Design Film Photography and MSU Art History Major, has taken the reigns of the fashion house – it’s development and creative direction, and aims to uphold the company’s international acclaim with a bold artistic vision.
Gala has held multiple fashion, film photography and contemporary art exhibitions in Paris, Hong Kong and Moscow, receiving praise from internationally acclaimed critics and is considered to be one of the top international young fashion professionals.
